I’m trying to bring an Analog Input point via BACnet. Its an enumerated value but only shows up as a numeric in Niagara. The Type option does not offer an Enum conversion. I also tried the Conversion option and selected “Enum Value Conversion” option, it appears to do nothing.
I was able to find the Enum Range Mapping in the Unit controller Documentation. I can create a separate Enum and link the numeric to it, but this creates unnecessary complications in the graphics if i want them to be writable.
@Boba can you post a screenshot of the point you are trying to import from whatever application you use to write the software? It looks like it is a numeric and while it’s value may represent a state it is being exported as a REAL value, I can think of 2 ways round it, modify the source so it exports an enum or mval type point OR import as a REAL numerical value and connect it to an enum on the wiresheet.
Sadly, i don’t have remote access to the controller that the points are coming from. Documentation suggests that it is a numeric by default, so i might not be able to change it at the source. I will try it once i am on site.
