I have to say, I’ve never heard of these… is this just a modular dumb i/o controller or is it programmable?

Keen to hear how you go with it.

I have a link to the product, the 2050 is like a plc, but you program it in Emalytics. The Catan is like the Isma mix 38 I guess :no_good_woman: , there should be KNX and Dali input/output in the controller, so all communication is directly in the controller and not in different devices

Emalytics is just line Niagara but it look a little different

Very Interesting. I like the look.

The software is just like niagara 4 or Centraline, I just hoped that somebody had worked with the Phønix product, because nobody in Denmark use them for Building management, I hear that Germany use them.

There are few companies / people that use it here in the UK as well. From what I understand it is a NiagaraN4 powered hardware platform (similar to the ISMA MAC36’s).

If you’re familiar with using Jace’s with ISMA IO it shouldn’t be that hard to adjust to. Its all engineered in N4 workbench as you normally would and I believe the Phoenix Contact install comes with their required JAR modules.

Oh man, I hope they’re are a much better product that the ISMA’s. I have had nothing but issues with isma i/o. The MAC36 is good as a BACnet gateway, that’s about it in my opinion.

We’ve used ISMA IO modules a fair bit and found them pretty decent without that many issues, but I agree on the MAX36’s. They are rather horrible. Too much hassle about exactly what version N4 they want.

Im familiar with ISMA mac 36 :slight_smile:

I used to work at the same company as @Lotte where isma is the standard.
My experience is that once you have a template with a good configuration, it’s a great product. Very reliable and easy to set up.

Sorry can’t help with emalytics… Don’t know it. Never heard of it.

@Rosenthaler It is just like N4, but i dont know if the product is good or bad to work with

@Lotte hi and hello :waving_hand:
I’m currently engineering a monster of a data centre that is utilising Phoenix Contacts kit.
It “engineers” in exactly the same way as any other Niagara based hardware so to speak, albeit like every other OEM it has its granular differences.
Their tech support is ACES :flexed_biceps: you got an issue they’re on it like a pigeon on chips
I don’t have the kit unfortunately so I can’t comment at present but as I support the install team through the SFAT of our software and subsequently they’re commissioning I will report back here if I find anything that will help anyone doing the same :victory_hand:
